"Georgias House" rooms are a family business at an ideal location in Magazia, the biggest and most popular beach, by the sea, on the east side of Skyros.
Each room is completely equipped with all necessarily in order to accommodate up to 3 persons and they are ideal for couples, but also for companies that are looking for relaxing and excellent stay in Skyros.
We have double and triple rooms, some of them are in the first floor and some others at the ground floor. All rooms are equipped with private bathroom, TV, Air-conditioner, fridge, free access to the Internet via Wi-Fi and daily cleaning service. Moreover, each room has its own private necessary utilities in order to help visitor to prepare coffee, tea and breakfast.

Excursion
Trip to sea caves
It’s a trip that should not be missed, as a guest. Small boats begin every day from the port of Skiros, Linaria, to the north side of the island, where are the famous sea caves. Beside the caves, the trip has one more stop at the Sarakiniko Island. The island has amazing clean blue water, in where the visitor can swim and rest on the golden sandy beach of Glyfada. Finally, during the excursion many kinds of seafood and ouzo are offered.
Excursion to the forest with ponnies
In the north side of the island, in Traxi , there is a 15-acre area, which hosts 30 local ponnies, an endangered species. The visitor can ride one of these domesticated ponnies and enjoy a beautiful route through the delightful green forest.
Beaches
Skyros has many and beautiful beaches with crystal water. Inlets and coves spread along the entire length of the island. Beaches that are located in the north, surrounded by pine trees and most of them are sandy, while beaches that are located in the south covered with pebbles. The most important and popular beaches of the island are the followings:
Magazia- Molos: The huggest in length and the most popular beach of the island which begins at Magazia and ends at Molos. It has golden sand, sunbeds, beach bars and a lot of taverns with tranditional foods. You can easily access to the beach either by car or by walk.
Gyrismata: Its not only large in its lenght but aslo in its width. Sandy beach with crystal water, sunbeds, beach bars and restaurants. You can easily access to the beach either by car or by walk.
Kareflou: A large beach with pebble, which is situated in the northeastern side of the island. Ideal for privacy, as it is quiet and not organized. The access to the beach is possible by car via a smooth dirt road.
Agios Petros: A relatively large beach with thin pebble in the northern side of the island. It can be accessed by a smooth dirt road.
Kyra Panagia: A beautiful small bay at the northwest of the island. It offers shallow water, but it is cold. The beach is easily accessed via an asphalt road.
Atsitsa: A small and charming beach with sand and pebble. The landscape is idyllic with pine trees and rock formations at the same time. It is easily accessible by car via asphalt road.
Agios Fokas: A small, but with many trees, beach at the west coast of the island. It is a deserted beach in a bay, which does not suffer from summer winds. It is not organized. At the end of the beach, there is a tavern. It is easily accessible via asphalt and dirt road.
Peukos: A sandy beach on the west of the island. An amazing scenery with pine tree covered hills and cold blue water. It is not organized, but there is a tavern, where you can eat and buy water. It is easily accessible by car via asphalt road.
Kolymbada: A deserted beach with plenty of white pebbles. It is located in the south west of the island. It is not organized, so you should not forget to take the essentials before coming here. Accessible by car via paved road and then walk for a few minutes to a short dirt road.
Kalamitsa: A big and busy beach with pebble. There are many taverns at a short distance. It is easily accessible by car from the main road.
Aspous: A quiet sandy beach near to Chora. Although it is not organized, there are many shops in order to buy the necessities. You can reach easily from the main road with car.
Aherounes: A beach with sand and pebble. The sea is clean and shallow. It is organized and easily accessible from the main road with car.
Sightseeings
Skyros (Chora)
Chora is the capital of Skyros. It is built on the slope of a hill. It is worth to walk through the narrow cobbled streets and sit in one of the many traditional shops enjoying local delicacies and loukoumades. Beside the fact that Skyros belongs to Sporades, there are many white houses that give you the feeling of being in a Cycladic island. Do not forget to visit the Piazza Brook, in order to enjoy the beautiful view.
Castle of Skyros
At the top of the hill, where Chora is built, dominates the byzantine castle of the island. The visitor can admire the church of St. George, which is dated from 960 AD, remains of old houses and two other churches, St. Athanasios and the church of the Dormition of Mary.
Folklore Museum of Skyros (Faltaits Museum)
The museum is housed in a skyrian mansion, which is built on the ancient walls in the northeastern corner of Chora and it was founded by Faltaits in 1964. Inside the museum, the visitor can admire skyrian carved furniture, textiles, ceramics and traditional costumes.
Pouria
One of the attractions of the island is the area of Pouria. It is worth visiting this area in order to admire the church of St. Nicolas, which is built in a rock of limestone.
