This is a fully furnished, superb country house with a huge pool and deck area which combines rustic charm with modern comfort. The house is located in Racecourse Street in Nadur, just minutes away from the village centre, and near to all amenities including a choice of restaurants and beaches: the fabulous Ramla Beach, delightful San Blas Bay, and picturesque Dahlet Qorrot - are just 5 minutes away! It can easily accommodate groups of 12 to 14 people in its ample bedrooms all of which (except one) have en-suite facilities. Foreign guests staying for a week or more can avail themselves of a welcome food-pack and a weekly maid service is available.
A description of this superb residence follows:
On entering the entrance hall one enters a short corridor that leads to a welcoming room, with stairs leading upward to the upper bedrooms on the right. Leading off this room is an internal covered atrium with a delightful water fountain, a utility room under the stairs, and on to the kitchen.
The hall, or entrance is decorated with an antique mirror unit on the right hand side and an interesting rod-like object hanging on the left-hand wall - just between the arches. This is the firing mechanism of an old (WWII- era) torpedo.
Just through the entrance hall, immediately on the left, one finds the stairs that lead to the first bedroom which is just three steps up - but of this later.
A look at the 1st Bedroom and the stairs
Just in the stairwell one finds a lovely, carved mahogany table and a couple of upholstered chairs and a small side board to complement this setup on the side of the entrance hall wall.
The door just beyond the table leads to a small box-room where our guests can store their luggage, etc.

Included in this area is a complete guest bathroom - which is accessed from a door which lies half-way between the stair-well just described and the internal alcove.
This bathroom has all the normal facilities that one expects to find - i.e. a bath with shower facilities, a toilet and a wash-hand basin with stand and mirror.
Guests opting to stay in the first bedroom (the one just three steps up from the hallway) mentioned above can also use this bathroom for their needs.
The residence walls are not smooth but are worked over with an adze-like object (imterqa) to give them the hewed-stone effect.
Just beyond the stair-well with its adjoining bathroom, and separated by a delightful wrought iron candleabra, is an alcove, which is really a small covered internal atrium. This area is embellished with plants and a delightful water fountain.
Just next to the water fountain is a utility room in which one can find an automatic washing machine that our guests can use - very useful if one opts for a long stay - an iron and an ironing board.
Also stored here, in this room one can also find one or two small sun umbrellas that one might want to use for shade when the sun gets too hot in the summer.
Just beyond the alcove one finds a very large room that serves as a kitchen, dining and a very cosy living area furnished with comfortable rattan sofas in the vicinity of a large fire place (real and wood-fired) to make things cosy and warm in the winter.
Included in the living room is a cable-TV with many selectable channels for our guests' entertainment, as well as an Easy-Line telephone (an Easy-Line pre-paid card is necessary. This can be easily bought from most shops) with a very easy number to remember: 21565152.
The quaint fountain in the atrium
Just beyond the living area nook is the summer living room which overlooks the enormous pool and deck area. The area is well ventilated and cool in summer.
This is a very well lighted area which can be appreciated even in winter - especially if the fire-place is lighted and the room warmed up.
Second sitting room by the pool area
The huge pool area is invisibly divided into three distinct areas - i.e. the pool itself, the sun-lounging area, and the barbeque and outside dining area. The green door on the side is only for decoration - it doesn't lead to anywhere!
Beyond the pool area is a garden with fruit trees planted, and beyond that is a countryside view that leads to the sea on the horizon.
