ASTYPALEA VILLAS A newly built complex of traditionally built villas, each having its own bright color in doors and windows (ciel house, pink house, yellow house, light green house, green house and blue house) just 250 meters from the busy beach of Livadi, where one can easily go by foot, to either relax under the rich sun, or find anything one may need from local taverns, to all kinds of shops. From here access to all areas of the island is available. The complex, even if so close to the beach, offers peace and quiet time to relax under the Mediterranean sun, with a wonderful view of the city, clear from winds and city sounds. Feel better than home with your family having your own private garden, terrace, and parking space.
There are three kinds of villas.
-Medium sized (ciel house, yellow house and light green house) houses have in their ground floor a large main area with a living space, a kitchen and a dining space in it; a smaller bedroom with a single bed and the bathroom. On the first floor is a double bedroom and a bathroom. The terrace on the first floor offers a stunning view to the sea. In the basement, the couch can also be used as a bedding space. All houses are fully equipped with refrigerator, cooking elements, kitchenware, large TV, air-conditioning and WiFi.
-Large sized houses (pink house and blue house) have in their ground floor a large main area with a living space and a dining space; a separate, fully equipped kitchen, one bedroom with a double bed or two with single beds with exit to the private yard and the bathroom. On the first floor is a double bedroom with two large terraces and a bathroom. Available are large TVs in the living room, air-conditioning and WiFi.
-The green house has only a ground floor with a private garden, garage, large living area comprising also of dining space and kitchen in the same area, one bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom. It has a large couch, TV and air-conditioning.
Astypalea: one of the most beautiful Aegean islands with an impressive natural environment ranging from hidden stalagmite and stalactite caves, high hills with spectacular views to natural all-blue bays and wonderful beaches. For the ancients it was the “table of Gods” and “ichthioesa” for its rich fishing grounds. The island has been constantly inhabited since thousands of years and boasts of a variety of important archaeological finds, such as an aqueduct, an ancient infantile cemetery and a treasure of important ancient objects and items and as a result the whole has been given the characterization of an archaeological site.
Chora is the largest village ranging from the Pera Gialos – the natural harbor – to the hill and it’s beautiful and imposing Castle. In the center of Chora, one can find the central plaza with the picturesque wind mills. Houses are all white following the local traditional ways and following the small walkthroughs in the village one can find many small churches and sites, always having in the background the stunning view of the sea. In a distance less than 800 metres from the center, the road leads to Livadi, a fantastic area where the white village houses are engulfed by plants and trees. It is here that one can find the largest from all the beautiful beaches of the island, as well as taverns, cafes but a few metres from the waves! Just further are the beaches of Ai Vasilis, Agios Kostantinos, Janaki etc. From here, the main road leads to the green village of Maltezana with picturesque beaches and taverns. Very near from here is the airport and the port of Agios Andreas.
The island is easily accessible either by sea, from the ports of Piraeus, Rhodes and Kalymnos, or by air, from Athens, Rhodes, Kos and Leros. Inland transport Is available by bus, taxi or rented cars, bikes and bicycles.
