The typical village of Estorãos with its river is 6 km from Ponte de Lima. On both river banks one finds granite houses and others more modern constitute a small village, connected by an ancient roman bridge. By the bridge, on the left bank of the River Estorãos, a stone watermill from the 18th century with its wood wheel intact appears as a sentinel over the quiet waters. This is a beautiful example of refurbishing a watermill that has been used as mill, wood workshop and olive oil warehouse until middle of the 20th century.
As a result of the refurbishing, two independent 2-bedroom apartments have been created. Equipped with central heating, lounges and bedrooms with the original stone walls provide a cosy rustic ambience. Ancient furniture, items related to the rural activities and handicraft from Minho is part of each house furnishing, making to a comfortable and colourful feeling.
Each apartment comprises lounge with open fireplace and dining area, regional kitchen, 2 bedrooms (1 double with en suite bathroom, 1 twin with en suite shower room), garden with grill and parking.
Breakfast products are supplied, so guests can prepare their own breakfast. Extra bed available against supplement fee, only for children under 12 years old.
