Seven of us stayed in this beautiful, well-equipped villa over Christmas and New Year. We all agreed that it was the best holiday for many years.
The villa is delightful - rural and old but in lovely condition. The bathrooms were clean, modern and attractive. All the rooms were a good size and it was great to have a separate dining room for meals. There was plenty of space for everyone.
It's easy to get to Rome, 15 minutes in a car to the station and then a 30 minute train journey to the centre of Rome.
The large supermarket is a ten minute drive away.
We highly recommend this villa.

My family and myself stayed in this villa in June 2013, for one week and we were not disappointed. Arriving at the airport in Rome, it was an hour and a half's drive to the villa, which was pretty easy to find from the directions we had been given. Upon arrival at the villa, we were greeted by the housekeeper who showed us around and guided us to the local supermarket to get food. The villa itself is wonderful, the rooms spacious and the beds comfortable. There were an ample amount of bathrooms to use between 6 people, all of which were clean. The swimming pool is a big plus, and after our day trip to Rome, which is only 30 minutes by train, it was divine to come back from the hustle and bustle of the city to the refreshing pool and tranquility of the surrounding countryside. The villa provides great amenities locally, and It is so peaceful in the surrounding area, you really can relax and soak up the beautiful Italian sunshine and surroundings. There is not one negative thing about this villa, and my family and I are already talking about going back maybe next year for another holiday. Definitely a hidden gem.
Owner's Response: I am very happy that you liked your stay at my home! I always do my best to make the holidays of my tenants the more pleasant as possible: your review is the best reward I could have. You are very welcome anytime!

We had a beautiful and fantastic holiday in Palombara. The foto's were beautiful but the reality is much more, it was like a fairy tale.
We named the house "Castelli Romani". The garden and winegard were so nice and all the old olive trees!!
The owner send us mail with a lot off practical and usefull information.
We went to Rome by train for several days, it is very easy to get there by train and metro. After a turbulent day in Rome we were delighted to relax in "castelli Romani" The house was clean, the swimmingpool was ready.
We enjoyed the holiday and the house made it complete.
We can recommend the house to friends and family
We thank Laura Borsari for the chance to have an unforgettable holiday.

Our group of seven family members rented this villa for a 10 days period. It was just wonderful. The location is perfect, close enough for day trips but far enough of the hustle and bustle of traffic to provide privacy, tranquility, relaxation and to mentioned a cool refreshing dip in the pool. Ample space both inside and out for either cooking in or grilling out and all amenities were as described. The beautiful hill town of Palombara is only 10 minutes away and it has good restaurants and a big supermarket which provided us with lots and lots of wine. I would strongly racommend "La Tana del Lupo" great food and fantastic prices. All in all a perfect vacation. Thank you for your hospitality.

Spacious villa with TWO living rooms, large dining room, well appointed kitchen. Outdoor spaces galore. Clean, well maintained inside and out. Beautiful quiet countryside with great vistas. I should say that the birds sing all day--if you consider this "noise", I guess it is not so quiet.
A car is a must but that gives access to several nearby restaurants and the markets in Palombara. For us one of the pluses was the short train ride to Rome. Just park your vehicle at the station and you are off. Because the train is used by commuters, the weekday schedule is very frequent. The weekend is workable, if you know what the times are. Public transport in Rome is great and preetty user friendly. Imagine leaving the busstle of Rome and coming home to this beautiful villa to relax.......
Our family, 7 of us, had a wonderful time. We felt very much at home. The care taker was available when we needed something but that was just at first arrival. After that, the place was ours. Of all the vacation places we have rented, this is deffinitely one of the top.
Owner's Response: I'm very happy when I know that my guests enjoyed and appreciated their holiday at my villa: that's my maine purpose and final aim. I used to live there and I really love this place: to me it's very gratifying to know that guests had the same feeling! Thanks a lot!

We stayed at this lovely old Italian house during Easter 2012. The house was wonderful - a typical Italian terracotta home, in the middle of beautiful countryside (so peaceful) with a fantastic pool area. Perfect for peace and tranquility but only a 30 minute train ride into bustling Rome. The owner was very helpful and the housekeeper always on hand if required. The house was clean and the decor very tasteful - perfect for a peaceful escape. We would definitely return! Thank you Laura!

A group of 8 of us have just returned home after staying at this beautiful villa in May 2011. The house, gardens, pool and surrounding area are lovely. Its nice and peacful and very relaxing. The one thing is, you definately need a car, as the nearest Supermarket is about a mile away and only sells basics, and the nearest restaurants are approx 3 miles away. The website pictures do not do it justice. Would highly recommend.
