La Finca is a 200 year old restored farm house located on the hillside below Mijas Pueblo overlooking Fuengirola and the Mediterranean. Situated within walking distance of Mijas Pueblo and a 10 minutes drive down the hill to Fuengirola, a friendly city with beautiful water front beaches. The city caters to families on holiday…..all kinds of restaurants and pubs everywhere. La Finca has four bedrooms (nearly). Two large bedrooms on the ground floor, another bedroom (en suite) on the first floor via the spiral staircase, and ……the loft bedroom (originally the hay loft). The loft is a favourite “bedroom” for the young at heart.
The house has air conditioning throughout that is controlled by remote handheld units much like a VCR control. There is a TV/VCR/DVD/Satellite system that can be used to play your favourite videos but most visitors will want to forego this for the fantastic views that the patio area has to offer. The gardens surrounding the house are a real feature. With walkways, patios, and quiet areas througout the property the gardens offer a colourful environment anytime of the year. The pool overlooks the sea, has night lighting and is adjacent to the patio and barbecue. The views from the pool and patio area are spectacular day or night.
You’ll be spoiled for choice in Mijas Pueblo. Mijas Pueblo offers great restaurants, shops, outdoor café’s, its own bullring, donkey taxi’s and many other attractions. Whilst it caters to tourists during the day (they are bussed in), Mijas turns into a quiet traditional Spanish village in the evening and I would suggest that you make a point to stroll in for dinner after the tourists depart. Make sure you visit the chapel in Mijas (near the donkey taxi stand)…it’s several hundred years old, a good photo opportunity and great views to the sea from the overlook.
